It wasn't until 1988, when the Santa Fe Brewing Company began slaking local thirsts, that beer was again brewed in New Mexico.
A magazine article in July 2013 cited 23 brewpubs in New Mexico, with nine in the Albuquerque area – twenty-six were found & listed on the
New Mexico Business & Travel Links Page. The first plan was to duplicate each active brewpub there and for each city/neighborhood of its primary location.
The second plan became this separate New Mexico Beer Industry Page, so detail from there was cut to this page in Spring 2018.
So far there are 51 active brew pubs coded for Albuquerque, 17 for SantaFe/Taos, and 34 others across the state – total 102 (5/2022).
