"Route 66" TV Series
           |            |
"Route 66" was an innovative hour-long b&w TV series, filmed on location across America and starring Martin Milner as Tod Stiles and George Maharis as Buz Murdock (and later Glenn Corbett as Lincoln Case). The premise was simple, just two guys driving a blue Corvette across America, making their way as they went, meeting a range of people along U.S. Route 66 and finding danger and romance while seeking insights to themselves and the right place to settle down . . .

These two books were reviewed back in 2007 at Route 66 News; the Fletcher book is slim but compiled from many detailed articles published by Route 66 Magazine;
the Rosin book is an insider's view but was fraught with many errors and omissions of fact; it is likely that the 2018 revised edition corrects that problem.
