Tyler Perry Studios [est. 10/2008] in southwest Atlanta, Georgia
The 200,000 square-foot movie studio complex includes production office buildings, five sound stages, and a 400-seat theater.
On 1 May 2012, the facility suffered a four-alarm fire; the extent of damage has yet to be reported.
LionsGate Entertainment Corp. announced in August 2011 plans for a new cable TV channel called Tyler TV, anchored by
Tyler Perry; no details then, no news items since. {Given Perry's late 2012 deal with Oprah Winfrey's channel, the LionsGate deal is dead.}
