          Sabine Hossenfelder was born in 1976 in Frankfurt-am-Main, West Germany; her first name is pronounced 'sah-bee-na', she uses the nickname 'Bee'. She completed her PhD in Physics at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in 2004, then worked as a research fellow in Arizona, California, Canada, and Sweden. She was employed as a research fellow at the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies from 2015 to 2022 and was head of the Superfluid Dark Matter group. Dr. Hossenfelder received the first F.I.A.S. Award for Innovative Thinking in August 2019, which included €10,000.
          At the same time, Sabine has written a weblog since 2006 and contributed articles to many magazines, including Forbes Magazine, Quanta Magazine, New Scientist, Nature Physics, Scientific American, Nautilus Quarterly, and Physics Today.
          She began her twice-weekly podcasts on YouTube in January 2007 and currently has over 900K subscribers, with more than 300 videos now online.
