Market share fluctuates: in 1948, Coca-Cola claimed about 60% of its market share; by 1984, The Coca-Cola Company's market share decreased
to 21.8% due to new competitors, namely Pepsi; in 2004, The Coca Cola Company sold 51% of the worldwide soda-pop market.


Coca-Cola acquired Minute Maid [est. 1945] for an undisclosed amount in 1960; their brands include
Minute Maid fruit juices, Hi-C fruit flavored drinks, Keri & Cappy brands in other countries.

Coca-Cola acquired Barq's Famous Olde Tyme Root Beer [est. 1898] in 1995.
