          George Santos was born on July 22, 1988 in Sunnyside, Queens, New York City. Dropped out of high school. Later earned a GED. Was a customer service representative for Dish Network TV in College Point, Queens, New York. From 2008-2011 he lived in Brazil, where he competed in drag queen pageants under the name Kitara Ravache. Two former acquaintances said that he competed as a drag queen in Brazilian beauty pageants in 2008 using the drag name Kitara Ravache, with one saying that Santos began dressing in drag in 2005.
          Santos became the first openly LGBT member elected to Congress as a non-incumbent Republican.

1988 July 22: George Anthony Kitara Devolder Santos was born in Sunnyside, Queens, New York City.
2011: A Brazilian judge approved charges against Santos after he admitted using a stolen checkbook and a false name to make fraudulent purchases near Rio de Janeiro in 2008; the case was suspended because police could not find Santos, who moved to New York in 2011. (Case revived in January 2023.)
2020: Santos said that he was living with a partner named Matheus Gerard, whom he has subsequently called his husband.
2021 Nov: Santos revealed that he and husband Matheus Gerard were wed.
2022?: Santos faces federal & local investigations into potential criminal activity during his campaign.
2023 Mon Jan 2: Despite admitting that much of his résumé and biography is a lie, George Santos was sworn in as the new Republican congressman representing New York's 3rd Congressional District.
2023 Tue Jan 3: Rio de Janeiro, Brasil prosecutors revived the criminal fraud case against embattled U.S. GOP congressman-elect George Santos; they say that the case has been reopened now that he has been located.
2023 Tue Jan 31: Congressman George Santos GOP NY-03] told House Republicans that he will temporarily step down from his congressional committee positions amid ongoing scrutiny of his campaign finances and biographical fabrications.
2023 Wed May 10: Santos pleaded not guilty in the United States to 13 federal charges.
2023 Thu May 11: Cong. George Santos confessed to theft in Brazil as part of a deal to avoid prosecution. Santos, whom Brazilian prosecutors have accused of using a stolen checkbook to buy shoes and other items in 2008 when he was 19, was ordered to pay $2,000 in fines and another $2,800 to the store owner within 30 days.
2023 Thu May 18: Local TV reporter Darius Radzius filed F.E.C. paperwork for a potential bid for the Democratic nod in the constituency held by still-in-office 'liar-in-chief' Cong. George Santos.
2023 Wed Aug 16: Samuel Miele, a campaign aide to Cong. Santos, was charged in an newly-unsealed federal indictment with wire fraud and identity theft for impersonating House Speaker Kevin McCarthy's former chief of staff. Federal prosecutors accused Miele of orchestrating 'fraudulent fund-raising' emails and phone calls seeking donations from more than a dozen people. Miele said in the messages he was a 'high-ranking aide to a member of the House with leadership responsibilities'; Miele received a 15% commission for every donation he secured. Santos was not named in the indictment; he fired Miele after the allegations surfaced.
2023 Tue Oct 10: Fashionable Republican Cong. George Santos was hit with 10 new federal charges, including that he stole campaign donors’ identities and rang up charges on their credit cards; He had already been charged with several offenses in May, among them lying to Congress and taking money from his campaign. Santos, who is facing time in prison if convicted, did not comment to news organizations about the updated indictment, but he has previously called the case against him a witch hunt.was charged with stealing donors’ IDs.
2023 Nov 1: Cong. George Santos survived an effort to expel him from the House; 24 Republicans and 155 Democrats voted to remove New York Republican Santos, short of the two-thirds majority required for his expulsion.
2023 Thu Nov 16: The House Ethics Committee said that it found evidence that Santos stole constituents’ campaign donation money and used it for outrageous personal expenses, including:
- $2,000 on a glitzy trip to Atlantic City with his husband
- $1,500 on botox, which was registered on his campaign spreadsheet as 'Botox'
- $20,000 of campaign funds to his personal business, which he spent on rent and casinos
- $4,127.80 for a Hermes purchase and smaller Sephora and OnlyFans charges.
Cong. Michael Guest [GOP MS-03], who chairs the committee, immediately announced that he would file a motion next day to expel Santos from the House.
2023 Thu Nov 16: After the House Ethics Committee findings were made public, Cong. George Santos announced that he will not seek reelection in 2024.
2023 Fri Dec 1: U.S. Congressman George Santos was expelled by a full House vote of 311-114; Santos made history when he became the first Republican ever expelled from Congress. Santos shared defiant remarks - "The truth will set me free" - on X/Twitter after the House voted to expel him.
2023 Dec: George Santos may be out of the House, but he is on Cameo, where his bio reads “former congressional ‘Icon’!”.
2024 Feb 13: Former Cong. Tom Suozzi [Dem 2017-2023] won the special election to replace ousted Rep. George Santos in New York's 3rd Congressional District; Suozzi beat Republican Mazi Pilip by about 8 points in the suburban Queens-Long Island district.
2024 March 7: George Santos took advantage of his lifetime House floor privileges to attend Biden's SOTU speech; while there he announced that he is running for Congress again, this time from New York's 1st Congressional District, a Long Island district currently held by Republican Nick LaLota [NY-01 2023-24].
2024 Sept: Trial date set for George Santos on 23 federal charges, including fraud, money laundering, and falsifying records.
