“Invention is by its very nature disruptive. If you want to be understood
at all times, then don't do anything new.”

“The common question that gets asked in business is 'Why?'. That's a good question, but an equally valid question is 'Why not?'.”

“There are two ways to extend a business. Take inventory of what you're good at and extend out from your skills. Or determine what your customers need
and work backward, even if it requires learning new skills. 'Kindle' is an example of working backwards.”

— Jeff Bezos

Bezos spent around $80 million on a few New York apartments early in 2020.

In February 2020, Bezos bought the most expensive property in Los Angeles from David Geffen, for $165 million; it’s the Warner Estate, which spreads out
over nine acres in Beverly Hills. For context, $165 million is an eighth of a percent of Bezos’ $131.9 billion net worth.
