The Aport engine is connected to Agama, and is English only. The free add URL page requires Russian content.
Google remains the most popular search engine, and while they use ODP, there is also an 'add URL' submission page. They have many discrete search sites by country & language, each of which offers paid submission options. But the free submission to the main Google add URL function is still the best deal: the spider checks your entire website from your entry of the domain URL. |     | ||
Launched in 1995, Russia On The Net is an all-English engine, though some search results are in Cyrillic/Russian. The add URL page requires Russian content.
The entire Search Centre site is in Russian/Cyrillic (except the logo), and the search results show only a scattering of English words. The free add URL does not work inside BabelFish. [Tip: Open the Babelfish window, cut&paste to use the 'translate URL' function, then add your data to corresponding boxes in the non-BabelFish window.]

The Sesna search engine is partly in English, though the results of a search may be in Cyrillic alphabet; entries are restricted to Ukrainian-related sites. There are many buttons for other Russian services webhosting, etc.; the free PAGE add is simple and in English and includes a shorter option for pages that have <META> tags for keywords and description.
The Yandex search engine has much in English, though the free add URL page requires Russian internet content. (Note: The add URL page does not work inside BabelFish.) |

|       The Baidu search engine launched in 2000, and is the center of an array of services in Chinese & Japanese; Baidu is now ranked as the 4th most popular website by Alexa (2015). (The literal meaning of the name is 'hundreds of times', representing the concept of persistent search for the ideal.} There appear to be only a handful of site pages in English. | add? | |

Internet software company Qihoo 360 launched its search engine in August 2012, and by January 2013 had already taken hold of 10.2% of users in China (against Baidu's 64.5% share). Qihoo 360 rebranded its search engine as so.com, and by August 2014 increased its market share to 29.0%, with Baidu's market share reduced to 56.3%. There appear to be no site pages in English.
The Goo website is in Japanese characters, but BabelFish works decently, and the add URL page does work inside BabelFish (click on the unidentified left button below the email box.). Note that the add URL is for each PAGE.

Goyoyo is both a search engine and a directory, with pages & results in English and two variants of Chinese.
The add URL works fine inside BabelFish, although the translations make little symantic sense. For example, the red link on the right 'The website registers / the material revises' is where to click once you have chosen your Category & Subcategory. (If you are the first in the Subcategory, the red link is 'Add new'.) And after submitting your information, if you arrive at a page that says 'Registers the defeat', that means that your submission is completed. |

The 4Arabs site is a search engine, a portal, and a directory, all in English. The directory can be accessed two ways: by 22 countries on the left frame, or by category in the middle. The free add URL function requires registering an account, and there is a separate link/page to modify an existing entry.
|
The pages at ArabSites are in English, the results are multi-lingual: English, Arabic-character, and even some Spanish & German. The site is also a portal, with free email and job-search services. The free add URL requires a country: USA is way at the bottom of the drop-down list. The site is reviewed before actual posting to their database (so no guarantees).
The Arabic search engine Batoota.com is in fact Google.AE. The site takes queries in English, but responses are mixed Arabic & English; everything is justified right [buttons on the left], which is cumbersome. The free add to Google AE is in English. |

EgyptSearch is a directory; the site is in English but the content is often in Arabic. The free submission requires first going to the category & sub-categories that your site belongs in, the click on the "Add URL" link. All submissions are reviewed, they reject websites 'that do not have anything to do with Egypt'.

European Internet Network provides directories for eight countries, with more being added. The English-language content is mostly business-related (B2B), but you can search for arts & humanities topics, etc. The top-level category for EIN is country; the free add URL requires you to find your category within a country and then click on 'add URL' or 'change URL', with the nice option of a second category. Site content is verified & reviewed before posting, and must be related to that country; time-frame not specified, but expect to be done in a few days.
|
The HyeGuide Armenian engine is all-English. The free add URL is simple.

They have many discrete search sites by country & language, each of which offers paid submission options.       123India.com bills itself as 'India's Premier Portal' and is a directory, in English. Submission is simple, but your site must be India-related.
|
IndiaBook is a directory, and part of the MegriSoft Network of companies [est. 1998]. The no-guarantee free submission may take up to 6-8 weeks for review; for-fee submission service is also available. The free submission lasts 30 days unless you install a reciprocal link, per emailed instructions. Like other directories, you must 'drill down' to the category you want to be in, and submit from there.
|
The English-language iGuide Israeli search engine was established in 1994, and is sponsored by NetVision, which also operates the Hebrew-language Nana search engine. A website with its own URL need only submit the main index page; sites with no connection to Israel will not be crawled by their spider.
|
Jadoo means 'magic' in Hindi. The site is all-English. The add URL function will spider your entire site.
The WoYaa! search engine covers all of Africa, in either English or French. Their database is accessed by search or by clicking on one of the 53 country links. Each free add URL page requires you to register a free account first (so you can return and use their Modify page/s later). NOTE 6/2013: website is down, which may only be temporary |
