Buscador Español       Primary results from Buscador Español come from the Espotting for-fee service, but you can add your site to the directory for free, per the standard procedure: 'drill down' to the category you want, then click on 'Añadir URL a esta categoría' [Add to this category] and fill in the boxes. find the category, click on Añadir
Ixquick Spanish-language
      Ixquick includes a Debriefing option for Spanish-language search. They suggest submitting your URLs to each of the dozen major search engines that they look at =OR= you can pay them for either a one-time or monthly submission service. Ixquick also has the Spotlight option, a variation on keyword bidding: you can 'rent' a keyword for as little as $25 per year. (So the obvious option is to bid on Spanish words.)

      Google remains the most popular search engine, and while they use ODP, there is also an 'add URL' submission page. They have many discrete search sites by country & language, each of which offers paid submission options. But the free submission to the main Google add URL function is still the best deal: the spider checks your entire website from your entry of the domain URL.

Mexico Global search engine

AvispaNet Spanish directory

      Mexico Global is a directory, but also pulls English-language results from FAST or Google.
      AvispaNetla avispa is 'the wasp' – is a directory, and displays Spanish-language results.
      The pages of both Mexico Global & AvispaNet do not work inside BabelFish, so you will need to cut&paste the text for translation after each page loads.
      Although Mexico Global & AvispaNet are part of Victek Internet and have similar-looking pages, the signup to one is not access to the others. The submission process requires you to register (free), then reply to a validation email, then you can add your pages; review by human may take 90 days. (The assumption is that each submitted page is in Spanish.)

      Mexico Web is a directory, all pages are in Spanish. Submissions must be for sites in Mexico or Mexico-related; the submission is quite easy, and review by human takes only a few days.

Portuguese Search Engines

Achei search engine of Brasil
      The Achei – 'I found' in Portuguese – search engine is located in Brasil, and accepts submissions in either English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian, German & Other. The BabelFish translation fails on some pages (including the submission page); the password/confirm at the bottom of the submission page is for use with your specified email address to return and modify your data. Enter the URL of the main page of your site: they spider the entire website.

      The AEIOU.pt directory displays sites in Portugal or in Portuguese; they prefer not to list sites from/about Brasil. The adicionar [to add'] function is straightforward, and seems to work okay inside BabelFish. submit site/page
Aonde: seu site de busca no Brasil!
      The data at the major Aonde – 'where' in Portuguese – Directory of Brasil is used by many other engines. The add URL procedures do not translate well in BabelFish (some are even graphics!) but submission is do-able without knowledge of Portuguese – with scattered help from BabelFish.
      On the Submission link at right, enter your homepage URL; then select a likely Category, then a drop-down Sub-category; translate for each data-field using BabelFish; click on the 'Incluir' button, click on the next 'Incluir' button to confirm; the next page offers for-fee high ranking.
