While the title 'The Marvelous Lightyear Rebellion' was official early on (4/2015), the new official title of ‘The Last Jedi’ was announced in January 2017.
By mid-2017, the May 2018 release date was moved to Xmas 2017. Film took in $220 million domestically during its opening weekend in 2017.

'Star  Wars  IX:  The  Rise  of  Skywalker' [Fox - opening Dec 2019]  12/2019
Announced April; 2019: The official title and first trailer for Star Wars #9, giving fans a peek at the final episode in the primary trilogies. The film is directed by J.J. Abrams and scheduled for release on 20 December 2019. While not receiving inspired reviews from critics, the opening weekend worldwide box-office is expected to be close to $400 million, including an estimated $190 million in the United States. The film cost roughly $400 million to make and market, so the early numbers should be welcome at Disney.
