"Happy Holiday" musical stageplay [1954] Adapted by George Posford & Eric Maschwitz from Arnold Ridley’s 1925 play "The Ghost Train"; the musical stageplay starred Reg Dixon, and opened at the Palace Theatre in London in December 1954 where it closed after a dismal 31 performances; but the songs are pleasant, even charming, as these tracks from two 78rpm recordings released at the time reveal. The other selections from "Zip Goes A Million", a hit play and movie also written by Posford & Maschwitz, have no direct connection to "The Ghost Train". • The songs are "Sew A Silver Button On The Moon" sung by Reg Dixon & Janet Brown; "There Goes Charlie" sung by Reg Dixon; "The Feeling of Falling In Love" sung by Reg Dixon & Janet Brown; and four versions of "Surprisingly": each sung by Reg Dixon or Leslie A.
