Western Heritage Awards - second version of the Bronze Wrangler Award       The Oscar-Winning Western Movies Page kept showing up as the most-popular page on my five online bookstore websites, so I decided to add more data for visitors to enjoy (and more choices for purchase via Amazon). The Western Heritage Awards were begun in 1961, given out each year since by the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum [est. 1955] of Oklahoma City. A certain amount of work gleaning results from IMDb made a nice list of films to add here or to have the little statue icon added to an existing entry. Only five movies were already coded on the Oscar-Winning Western Movies Page, and then many more were coded on this page, which covers Western movies & television since 1960.

The hero, a teetotaling salesman for KolaLoca, wears spotless white even after climbing down a chimney, the bad guys wear black – all the cliches. A hilarious spoof, finally available on VHS & DVD.
