"History of The Big Bonanza: An Authentic Account of The Discovery, History, and Work-ing of The World-Renowned Comstock Silver Lode of Virginia City, Nevada" [1876] by Dan De Quille, Introduction by Mark Twain William Wright [1829-98] worked at the Territorial Enterprise newspaper in Virginia City, Nevada using the pen name Dan De Quille at the same time as Samuel Clemens [1835-1910] was there and inventing his Mark Twain persona. When Wright began writing "The Big Bonanza", Twain invited him to Hartford, Connecticut and acted as both mentor and publisher (American Publng Co. of Hartford, CT).
